2015 Chevrolet Reaper review, Because the Raptor was pretty much the only real high performance truck sold by one of the three big manufacturers on the US market, GM started to think at a competitor for the Raptor. However, because they did not wanted to build one because it would take just too much research and development, the market was only left with the Raptor. Luckily though, a third party of this duel stepped up and released back in the autumn of 2014 a unique truck which they promised they would put into production called the Reaper.
While at there are not that many details floating around about the Chevrolet Reaper 2015 price, specs, sale or availability, it seems that the truck is already available for order in select Chevrolet dealerships even though it is not actually built by Chevrolet.

2015 Chevrolet Reaper Changes Design Specs
This is great news for people looking for a truck with the capabilities of a Raptor but they don’t really want one. The Reaper is based on the newest Silverado and thanks to the fact it can be bought from Chevrolet dealerships, it means that the truck gets the usual GM warranty package and servicing options which is really nice for those not wanting something completely aftermarket.
The trucks are built in the United States by Lingenfelter which is a well known GM tuner offering complete tuning packages for their Corvette or Camaro cars. In order to make the Reaper able to even stand a chance against the Raptor, they did a complete overhaul of the truck’s chassis. At first, the suspension has been replaced with all new Fox shocks in the front and at the back which are filled with nitrogen. On top of that, the truck is 3 inches taller than before and it can be had with 20 inch rims and 33 inch off-road tires or with 17 inch rims and 35 inch bead-lock tires which should be able to make it one of the best stock trucks in off-road.
Besides these changes, the Reaper also comes with a full Corsa exhaust system which provides a unique sound to it as well as a lot of exterior updates. The front end is all new with a new hood as well as with a new, more aggressive front grille. The front and rear bumpers are also new while the front features two 10 inch light bars as well as new LED side-lights.
A skid-plate is also offered as standard in order to protect the underside of the truck, especially since its suspension system offers more than 11 inches of travel. Besides all of these changes, the Reaper adds a unique exterior package which includes 2015 Chevrolet Reaper decals on the bed as well as two unique nameplates under the hood which include the details of its original buyer as well as the unique identification number of the truck.

2015 Chevrolet Reaper Under hood – engine
Other 2015 Chevrolet Reaper price, specs, sale and interior information include that the truck will come with an all new instrument cluster painted red and specifically tuned for the new engine. Under its hood there are two possible choices. The base model comes with the usual 5.3 liter naturally aspirated V8 which offers 355 horsepower while the more powerful one comes with a 420 horsepower 6.2 liter V8. Buyers will also get the chance to add a 1,800cc supercharger to any of the two engines.
In this case, the warranty will stay unchanged but the power will be boosted to 475 horsepower and more than 470 lb-ft of torque which is quite impressive. The 6.2 liter V8 adds a bit more than that with a rated output of 550 horsepower and more than 550 lb-ft of torque, thus becoming even more powerful than the upcoming Raptor.
