Have you ever thought that Tonka, the truck you played with when you were a child could actually become a real-size Tonka truck? Well, it appears that the dreams will come true because real-life Tonka actually will arrive on the market. The vehicle even has a functional dump bed. Basically, the company brought to life this yellow long-time best seller which is now almost ten feet tall. Well, even though it is pretty sizeable it is still absolutely adorable.
Exterior Design of 2016 Ford F-750 Tonka
We will start with the exterior design of the 2016 Ford F-750 Tonka and for the beginning we will describe it as big. Well, it might be enough to say that the Ford F-750 Tonka 2016 is big but we know that you want more details and don’t worry because you will get a great deal of juicy details. The massive ladder frame hosts an enormous bumper and hood which is followed by a cab that is lifted from the assembly line of the Ford Super Duty. The vehicle sports a blacked out grille with Ford logo placed in the middle of it.
The overall appearance of the car appears to be heavily influenced by the Ford E-Series van whose production ended in 2014. The vehicle sports a pair of headlights which are similar to the ones we have seen on the Ford Econoline, primarily because they appear to be a straight bolt-in part. A three-piece front bumper can be easily repaired if the damaged section is replaced. The vehicle arrives with 10-lug wheels colored in the same Tonka yellow. The fenders and hood are connected, so the engine of the vehicle is easily accessible.

Interior of 2016 Ford F-750 Tonka
Unfortunately, the carmaker hasn’t revealed any information regarding the interior design of the 2016 Ford F-750 Tonka but it probably won’t be much different from the interiors in the Super Duty lineup. Having in mind that the truck is built for carrying garbage, we cannot expect luxury and some fancy features inside of its cabin.
The company announced that the 2016 Ford F-750 Tonka will be available in three different variants including Super Cab, Regular Cab and Crew Cab. All three configurations will be offered with several different frames. Well, since the 2016 Ford F-750 Tonka is a “working man’s truck” we won’t get any wood elements or leather upholstery and it is quite clear why. There is no MyFord Touch infotainment screen- it is only bare bones inside of the cockpit.
Engine Horsepower and Options
The upcoming 2016 Ford F-750 Tonka will be offered with two engine options. The first engine option will be the standard 6.8-liter V-10. There will also be a powerful 6.7-liter Power Stroke V-8 turbodiesel which is a great choice for those who plan hauling heavy loads. This time, the turbodiesel variant doesn’t produce 400 horses and 800 lb-ft of torque because the company detuned the drivetrain with three different power outputs.

The second, or the mid-range power output will be 300 horses and 700 lb-ft of torque and the last and the maximum output will be 330 horses and 725 lb-ft of torque. What about the V-10’s output? Well, it is capable of producing around 320 horses and 40 lb-ft of torque. Both engine options are coupled to a six-speed TorqShift HD gearbox. 2016 Ford F-750 Tonka is interesting toy truck for everyone.
